Styled by LMo: Black Lipstick.

Black lipstick in the house. Did you guys catch my previous post about finding some black lipstick while in New York? Well this would be it. Nothing name brand...just picked it up from the beauty store around the way (which seems to be the easiest way to find black lipstick because most popular beauty stores don't carry it.)

Anywho, quick photo session shot by +Amanze JR. I'm wearing old jeans from Gadzooks (remember that store), a Boy London t-shirt, black cut-out booties from GoJane.com, and a black leather baseball cap that I snagged from Ebay. I loveee Ebay.

Get Familiar With the Baggy Leather Look.

Leather pants are nothing new, but these drawstring leather jogging pants for the ladies? Yea I'll be on time for that. Spring 2013 welcomes the baggy leather pants with open arms.  Aaliyah taught us many moons ago how sexy a pair of baggy pants can be if done correctly. And these ladies are certainly keeping it sexy, but comfortable. Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwen....all rocking the new trend . I love the way Gwen looks with her wedges and blue jean leather jacket. That girl, I swear....too much cool.

The baggy (but not ridiculously baggy) style will be popular in a lot pants this season. Like with soft fitted sweatpants. Try wearing those with a pair of simple heels.

Anywho, if you want to try this trend and grab some slouchy leather pants OR shorts, let me direct you:
Sparkle and Fade faux leather trousers on sale $39
- Lucca Couture leather running shorts (adorable!) $39
- Adidas black leather track pants (Yes, please) $248
- Faux Leather mini shorts (If you're a budget baller) ~11

Kenneth Cole: F/W 2013.

"Yield to Social Netwalking"

Kenneth Cole made his 7 year debut back to the runway yesterday at New York Fashion Week for his F/W 2013 collection. The show's theme was based around social media, with Cole donating $1 to amfAR for every tweet and RT using hashtag #KCRunway. The models took their final walk while snapping shots of the photographers and guests with their camera phones. It was mainly a dark collection set on an industrial runway with projected images like birds flowing across the walls. It was all about structure and movement.

There was tons of black initially, but then white, brown, olive, and oxblood; everything with awesome metallic accents. We saw several designers incorporating metallic into their lines this year, like Burberry for their S/S '13 collection. There were great metallic collars, metal necklaces, chokers, and harnesses.

One of my favorite looks was the brown blazer with black front pockets. They paired the jacket with a puffy brown scarf and black leather pants, and it looked really modern and masculine. I like the sheer tops and metallic items in general, though. All gorgeous. And all of the ladies shoes and boots were sleek, but had petite chunky heels.

I also liked how some models wore a small bag hanging around their necks. It was a simple idea, but made a large impact. Kenneth Cole also created several long flowing tunics with side splits. This is something that's been showing up in other collections as well, like BCBC Max Azria F '13.

Honestly, the stuff just looked GOOD. The sheen of the sweaters, the quality of the skirts, the lines...just nice.

Baby Kreay.

I just found this pic that Kreayshawn instagrammed late October, and fell in love with her leather jacket. Just looking at it makes me want to go find a jacket at a thrift store and get some sharpies and go ham, Keith Haring style.

What do you guys think?
Isn't this just adorable.

Sidenote: Did anybody actually purchase or listen to "Something About Kreay?"
I'm pretty sure she broke the record for worst debut album sales on a major label. Po child.
Not sure if the album was that terrible, or if just nobody knew about it.
I don't really think they did enough to promote her, but meh.

Peace out.

GQ's Men of the Year Cover featuring Rihanna.

My Lord, this child is just... When all else fails, get naked.

This is nothing for Rihanna. She loves being naked.
Maybe it's the island in her, but we certainly aren't complaining.
It is a bit predictable though.

Rihanna revealed her latest cover; the December GQ "Men of the Year" issue on her Instagram...wearing only a short black leather jacket and tattoos.

It seems we've been seeing and hearing a lot about Rihanna lately. Most likely because her 7th album "Unapologetic" comes out next week on November 19th. Are you feeling the cover, or do you feel some type of way about her nakedness?

Rihanna in Vintage Chanel Paris Logo Sunglasses.

Rihanna was spotted yesterday headed to Da Silvano restaurant  in fabulous vintage "Chanel Paris" logo sunglasses.  I love how fashion is cyclical, because these frames totally fit the times. I am really crushing on them.

You can find the glasses here.

Later that evening, she went out to celebrate stylist Ursula Stephen’s birthday party.  Rihanna, Ursula, and Taraji looked like they had a great time.  Ursula was wearing a winter white dress while Rihanna and Taraji were all black and leathered out. I think Taraji looked fabulous btw.

Check out the pics below:

I Might Wear Something Like This...

Neon Pink and Green Machine.

1. Quote stud earrings  2.Zig Zag Crewneck Sweatshirt  3.Police Hat  4.Neon Green Cambridge Co. Satchel 5. Marni Crystal Necklace -Sold Out 6. Quilted Faux Leather Skirt 7. Fuchsia Coltrane Cutout Boot

I'm a big fan of casual, comfortable clothes.
Majority of the time, even if I'm going out to a club, I like to keep it comfortable.

There's no way I'm going to have a good time if my feet hurt from wearing some impossible shoes and my shirt is too tight.
Na bruh, that won't be me.

Now this wouldn't be something I would wear to a "club", but I wouldn't shy away from something like a hookah bar or a chill spot to gather with friends and get a drink.

I love the fuchsia cutout boots because they are bold and daring.
And the neon green Cambridge Satchel Co. Satchel: Excuse me sir, why are you so adorable?

If you love bold colors, don't wait until you find something perfect to match it up with.
Throw it in there, anywhere, and make it the highlight of your outfit. That's the point, right?
It's supposed to be loud; it's supposed to command attention.

So I think it makes more sense to pair bold things with a more neutral palette and pick things that will contrast with one another like the satchel and the boots.

Let's not forget the police hat...
Let me explain myself.

I would rock THE FUCK out of that hat in a moments notice and nobody would be able to tell me a damn thing.

The main ingredient in a spectacular outfit is confidence.
Never leave home without it.

Styling Tips: Fall 2012

Styling Tips: Fall 2012

1. Wearing socks and heels? Add socks.
Not only do socks and heels keep your feet warm, it adds a second dimension. It adds texture, color, and eye-grabbing patterns. It's fun doing the funky sock thing, but the classic white sock (pictured above) is almost always a good look. See my previous "Socks and Sandals" post here.

2. Pair leather....with more leather.
If it's one thing that I really love right now, it's all the leather on leather. It can look so sleek and so badass.
I'm on the lookout for a leather cap now. Hook me up if you know where I can get a dope one.

3. Embrace the dark lip.
When the weather begins to cool off, so should your lip color. A great bright red never goes out of style, but try to find some great plums and deep reds. See my previous "Dark Lips Trend" post here.

4. Try an all over pattern.
You saw it all over the runways like J. Crew, Balmain, Prada, etc. Lots of designers chose to express this with "power pantsuits."If you have similarly patterned tops and bottoms or items within the same color palette, the look would work as well.

5. Fun hats.
Not sure if I'm going through a phase right now, but I LOVE hats. I've bought probably like 10 hats for me and my boyfriend this year and I keep fighting the urge to get more...which of course I'm going to have to give in eventually. But whether the hat is a bit more subdued or loud as fuck, wear it with confidence and go on your merry little way.

6. Fall Florals.
This year, don't pack away your floral gear just because summer has passed. Keep it around through the fall, but pair it with weather appropriate items like jackets, boots, and scarves. And make sure you aren't wearing a thin fabric unless you have many layers. P.S. Yal notice her heels and socks?...Yea she gets it.
