Style Post: Groovy Saturdays.
Hey beautiful people.
It's officially the weekend. Fall and gawgeous....especially when you are jamming to Blood Orange's new album "Cupid Deluxe." It is delicious. I promise. This is what I'm wearing today. Lots of random pieces from around the way. My vest, necklace, bangles, & shoes are from thrift stores. Forever 21 black leggings and skirt (old.) A Hanes t-shirt, and the scarf was a gift. Oh, and Ruby Woo Mac lipstick. What a joy it is.
I feel very "African Princess" in this outfit, lol. Turbans are so much fun, and it's cool because they never look quite the same. Aside from the turbans, I've been layering shorts and skirts with leggings. It creates such an interesting look and is Fall appropriate.
Anyway...peep:

Styled by LMo: Shark Tank and DIY Jeans.
What's going on guys?
I, in no way, have a shortage of jeans. So when I bought these jeans from a thrift store, I knew I wanted to make them unique. While I was at Trillectro last year in DC, I noticed this girl wearing some severely ripped up jeans. The whole front was gone and there was just a little connection around the bottom half of the leg, which I thought looked cool. So that inspired me to do the DIY which led to these pants.

Style Post: Gladiator Sandals.
My people! How's it going?
Guess what I got in the mail last week? Those tall gladiator sandals that I posted here from Go Jane. With the gladiator sandal being one of the trendier shoes of the moment, I couldn't resist. Plus I've never had sandals so tall, and it makes me want to go fight lions and be some jungle woman.
Anywho, I think they look great, especially considering the price. Because lets be real, nobody over here at The Pretty Mustache is paying for those Chanel joints. We're paying bills over her, ha. But love the shoes, and this is the look that I styled for them.

Styled by LMo: 90s Rave.
I have a lot of fun taking random pieces and making them into an outfit. This is a very specific outfit, meaning not everybody is going to be able to wear this or even want to, but I like it. It feels fun, young, and edgy.
Every component of this outfit was not intended to go together. I recently bought these glasses from Go Jane. Annddd I love them. My top is a scarf I bought in Miami several years ago and I've wore it as a top before, but not quite like this. The pants are from Forever 21, and can be a little frumpy, but with the belt tied up around my neck, it looks really eye catching and edgy. The combat boots were literally sitting in a basket headed to the Goodwill, when I thought they would finish the look off pretty well. I like the bright neon color and the "I don't give a fuck" attitude they give off.

Kanye and His Kilt.
If any of you hit up the Watch the Throne tour, you got a front row seat to the kilt show. Kanye recently made headlines again during the 12.12.12. Sandy Relief Concert when he rocked a black leather kilt from Riccardo Tisci with a Givenchy hoodie.
The video footage above is from when Kanye and his team were first figuring out the logistics of his beloved kilts. I love seeing them in there making the vision come alive and doing something different. You aren't going to find many that can make this look work, so when you find them, you better make it happen.
I love you Kanye...and your little kilt too.

Rihanna in Vintage Chanel Paris Logo Sunglasses.
Rihanna was spotted yesterday headed to Da Silvano restaurant in fabulous vintage "Chanel Paris" logo sunglasses. I love how fashion is cyclical, because these frames totally fit the times. I am really crushing on them.
You can find the glasses here.
Later that evening, she went out to celebrate stylist Ursula Stephen’s birthday party. Rihanna, Ursula, and Taraji looked like they had a great time. Ursula was wearing a winter white dress while Rihanna and Taraji were all black and leathered out. I think Taraji looked fabulous btw.
