Lookbook: Maki Oh Spring 2014 RTW.

26 year old Nigerian designer Maki Oh has been making a splash with her fashion forward designs and collections. She was recently nominated for the LVMH Prize, which is an award that acknowledges and reveals 30 young designers, eventually recognizing one designer and 3 fashion school graduates as winners. This year, she was among up-and-coming designers like Shayne Oliver of Hood by Air and womenswear designers Tina & Nikita Sutradhar of MIUNIKU.

For Oh's Spring 2014 Ready to Wear collection, you'll notice shimmering colors of emerald, red, and blue, along with fringe, sheer panels, crop-tops, and amazing bell sleeves. If you'd like to see more from Maki Oh, head over to style.com to check out her latest collection for F/W 2014.

Herschel Supply Company x Liberty of London.

If you follow this blog, you know we're fans of Herschel Supply Co. I've bought Herschel bags and wallets and I'm telling you, the quality never fades. Even after a year, their products still look brand new. So basically what I'm saying is, they make quality products with clean and interesting designs. And there's practically a new collaboration every day.

Brands We Like: Casper and Pearl.

I recently came across Casper and Pearl while blog surfing, and I was delighted to see all of these amazing outfits. They feature this adorable floral print and incorporate matching top and bottom sets, overalls, jumpsuits, and dresses. I really like the feel of the clothes, very whimsical and fun.

Lust Covet Desire Lookbook Featuring Kilo Kish.

Check out this Lust Covet Desire lookbook titled "Mixed Media" featuring my favorite indie everything girl, Kilo Kish. With Kish recently moving to LA from NY, I guess it was inevitable that she be tapped for a funky lookbook like this. I'm totally on time for all of these looks. It's casual and effortless style with tennis shoes, sweatpants, metallic, crop tops, and flowy pieces. Werk.

Publish x Benny Gold S/S 2014 Lookbook.

This collection drops today at Benny Gold, Publish, and other select retailers. The standout feature of this lookbook would definitely be the foggy camo pattern which was inspired by foggy conditions in San Francisco. I especially like the jacket and khaki shorts.

"I Love Ugly" November 2013 Lookbook.

Straight outta New Zealand, menswear brand (and art collective) I Love Ugly is nothing short of adorable. Their latest Lookbook is impeccably shot, with a mixture of summer and fall ready pieces. There is a bit of a nautical theme with the flag series, but with a major streetwear twist. The most eye catching element of this collection is probably the "Fresh Fish" print created by Melbourne based artist Sam Yong. It's dope.

I love what this brand stands for. A creative touch that is anything but standard. There are soo many street wear brands out there that are boring as fuck. Same 'ol printed shirts with words like "Dope" and "Twerk" plastered everywhere, while abusing camouflage and Versace influences. I'm easily bored with the "copy cat designers." This though, is beautiful.

Peep, homies:

Maison Kitsune'S S/S 2014 Lookbook with Sky Ferreira.

Sky Ferreira is just too cute. Maison Kitsune shot her for their latest lookbook. It's a very comfortable shoot with relaxed tees, cozy sweaters and a short satin dress.

Check out the rest of the mini lookbook after the link.

Ri Ri's Fall 2013 River Island Collection.

I must say Miss Rihanna, you are becoming quite the designer. This trumps the Summer line ridiculously. Yes, the first collection had some edge and funk, but it wasn't distinguishable from the rest and it was pretty simple. This right here? I will be on time for.

Adam Selman, Rihanna's co-designer, told Vogue "The way I approach winter style is to layer up summer clothes, and Rihanna does the same." This is probably why we see the crop tops, high slits, and cut-outs. It may be cooling off outside, but we mustn't neglect the sexy.

Melody Ehsani: Fearless Lookbook.

Melody Ehsani, one of my favorite jewelry designers, is back at it again with a lookbook for her Fearless collection. Always a fan of gold, she highlights medallions, Rolex-like chain designs, crazy apes by the name of "trilla tha rilla", and Swarovski Crystal popping pistols. All right up her alley.

Dope Boy Magic Spr 2013 Lookbook.

"Made in a Chicago Hood"
Chicago based brand Dope Boy Magic shot an impeccably awesome Lookbook for their Spring 2013 collection. I love the pictures. Like really, they're awesome. The clothes are gritty, and pretty ok. Nothing too unexpected, but I'm feeling the camo poncho, the bucket hats, and the camo tie dye tee. Really, I just love the way it's shot.

Daddy Brown for Mark McNairy's S/S 2013 Lookbook.

Rapper Danny Brown brings a little Triple X to the Spring/ Summer Mark McNairy Lookbook. Danny (and that crazy ass head of his) doesn't shy away from the playful collection filled with bold prints like leopard, florals, and polka dots.

I personally love the quilted blue shorts and the look with the polka dot shorts and floral top.

Melody Ehsani Lookbook.

So I was just on Melody Ehsani's website, which I frequent from time to time because she's awesome, and I saw she put out a lookbook for Holiday 2012. I clearly missed the memo, but take a look at it, and get familiar. She designs awesome accessories and has cool collabs like her snakeskin sneaker with Reebok and her adorable nail wraps with NCLA. I personally want everything.

Her jewelry is a wee bit on the pricey side, but still affordable for a working woman. She has lots of cool lazer cut jewelry, but recently she's had a gold fixation, creating bold statement ID necklaces, "diamond" rings, and a huge adorable championship ring.

Check out the lookbook below and visit her site for even more adorable pieces.

The Hundreds: Spring 2013.

I am in love with the way Bobby Hundreds shot this. It's visual perfection. The concept with the mirror makes every photo interesting. (Mentally noting this lookbook, so I can recreate it one day)

DSquared2 Fall Lookbook by Mert and Marcus.

School Mates. Sticking with the runway show’s theme of a sixties prom, the Fall 2012 campaign from DSquared2 takes place in a high school classroom setting. Boys swaggy as hell and ladies killing the look.
I'm trying to learn what they're learning.

itty bitty ear pencils

Loving these glasses!

everything about the girl to the right. EVERYTHING

Lets not mention the awesome campaign for Summer 2012.
It's so visually stunning to me and embodies fun and being a free spirit.
Not to mention wearing American flag speedos and straddling niggies on motorcycles.
