Style Post: Flower Power.

Shirt/ Shorts: Thrift / Sneakers: LA Gear
“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.” – Booker T. Washington

I've cut this shirt up in so many different ways, it's not even funny. Today, it's a crop top/ bandana. Tomorrow it may not exist at all. That's just the fun of fashion.

Keep it peaceful :)

Style Post: Cupcake Mafia.

Hat: SSUR / Shirt: Cupcake Mafia T's / Shorts: Cupcake Mafia T's  /
Leggings: F21 / Shoes:  Jordan Retro 2
“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it—through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.” - Victoria Moran

Do you ever find yourself questioning who you are or where you are in life? I know I can get to surfing the net and Googling and...it's just a wrap from there. It's easy to get in a space where you look at other people and think "Why not me?" But you're exactly where you need to be in your personal journey. Whatever your dreams are, don't lose sight of them. Your journey will not be like any others...it's uniquely yours. And once you start to realize that, the better off you'll be.

I got this outfit from Cupcake Mafia last year as a birthday gift. They're a company based out of Atlanta, GA with tons of trendy tops, bottoms, and accessories. And it's so cute, because when you get your package in the mail, it has the sweet scent of cupcakes. I kept with a black and white trend and added a pop of red with my sneakers. Head over to Cupcake Mafia T's to shop the look plus many more baked goods.

Peace.

Melody Ehsani Reebok Pumps.

I've been a fan of Melody Ehsani for a while now, featuring her fabulous jewelry, cool nail wraps, and sneaker collaborations on the blog. This time around, she's back with Reebok to create a supremely cool Reebok Pump design....the first woman to collaborate on the Reebok Pump shoe.

Sneakers on Deck.

tennis shoes

Lord knows we're all entitled to wearing whatever the hell we please, whenever we please, but the fact that sneakers are trending in womenswear is just sugar and spice and everything nice. So I've found 8 cool sneaks that I think you should be aware of. Whether you like sleek, funky, or un poco distracting, you should invest in a nice pair of sneakers to revamp your wardrobe.

Converse x Stussy F/W 2013.

It may be the St. Louis in me, but I love Chucks. I got my first pair when I was a freshman in high school...a pair of high top red joints that I still have to this day. The wonderful thing about Chuck Taylor's is that regardless of how old/ dirty they are, they are still totally acceptable to wear (in my opinion.) I'm not throwing any of my 4 pairs away until they get holes. Up until that point, come see me.

Converse has collaborated with Stussy for Fall/ Winter 2013 to create three new Chuck Taylor's in purple, black, and red. The shoe features leather with a croc pattern and Stussy No. 4 tongue labels. I'm partial to the red and black.

They'll be available in select stores and online at Stussy.com tomorrow (for $85.)

Cool Kicks: Vans OTW "Camo Leopard" Prelow.

These are the new Vans OTW Prelow in Camo Leopard, which, come on, are pretty adorable if I may say so. They're running shoes that favor the style of Nike Free's, but they're funkier and the lines are cleaner.

This shoe is part of a leopard camo pack that has another Prelow in blue, and Bushwick style in khaki, red, and black. I prefer the Prelow's  though. Anyway, take a peek. They're $90, and your feet with probably be really happy with you and think you're super cool.

New Jeremy Scott x Adidas Sneakers.

Jeremy Scott Adidas

As if we're surprised, Jeremy Scott is back at it again with another round of plush Adidas sneakers. His new shoes feature a camouflage bear and pink poodle. His designs are always so fun and silly.  I wish somebody would pay me to play with my clothes and shoes like they pay him. The pink poodle comes equip with black and white cat-eye frames and a curly tail, while the camouflage bear rocks a beige Adidas cap.

I haven't personally seen anyone on the streets wearing his toy inspired shoes, but I'm always on the lookout. I feel like it takes a special kind of person to rock a pair of these. Somebody that has the money, is a kid at heart, and gives no fucks. The shoes are set to be released on Luisaviaroma in March 2013.

What are your thoughts on these shoes?
Would you cop?

Teyana Taylor x Adidas Sneaker Collaboration.

It was only a matter of time before Teyana got herself some type of clothing endorsement or sneaker deal. I mean, that is her thing after all.

Looks like Teyana Taylor and Adidas are collaborating on a new sneaker that is set to drop February 16 of next year. She Instagrammed the back of the shoe which is a bronzy color with what looks like a snake print pattern all over. The shoe also has tall black straps connecting the back..

What do you think? Would you be excited to buy this shoe?

Animal Print High-Top Dunks.

Leppy shoe.

Classic Nike Dunks with a twist. I'm not talking about all that leopard either. Seems Nike finds the high-top Dunk the perfect shoe to add a hidden wedge. It is kind've perfect.

The shoe features leopard print paneling, a leather upper, contrast lining, and a big white swoosh.

Purchase this shoe or the red and white versions here.

I Might Wear Something Like This....

The Casual Rocker.

Mary Katrantzou Printed jersey T-shirt, Yves Saint Laurent Leather biker jacket, Faith Connexion Metallic stretch-denim, Nike Dunk Sky Hi suede wedge sneakers, Etro Crystal-embellished rabbit-felt fedora, Adia Kibus Resin Skull Ring, Bakers Stretch Spikes 2 Bracelet, Marni Shades

This fall, you should really utilize some of the fun trends of the season.
I'm not HUGE on focusing on trends because I wear whatever I want regardless, and so should you, but it is what it is.

With that being said, several of these pieces are trends this year like wedge sneakers, printed tees, leather, and metallic.

Metallic, metallic, metallic.
It's going to be big this season but especially popular in the spring.
If you find any fun metallic pieces at a steal while the seasons are changing, I'd definitely cop.
It will be worth it once spring rolls around.

I like matching things together that typically wouldn't go together.
For instance, the olive green suede wedge sneaks with the flashy metallic denim.
A little contrast goes a long way.

With an outfit like this, I'd probably go on a lunch date in the city or to a chill concert on a cooler night.

Now I realize most of us aren't balling out of control, so I've researched the look for less.
Still gets the point across and saves a ton of dough.

Happy shopping.
