Black in the Day: Betty Davis.

Black History Month has inspired me to start a new year-round series highlighting influential, stylish African Americans from back in the day. I wanted to debut this series with funk queen Betty Davis. She was a model, funk singer, writer, and all around badass. I mean, look at these pictures.

Style Post: Vintage Dooney and Bourke Purse.

Hello hello hello :)

How's it been going guys? I found the most adorable retro Dooney and Bourke purse while I was thrifting a couple weeks ago. I have a smaller red and brown version that I found years ago in the Loop in St. Louis. Great find. But this one is so much bigger, a bit of a satchel style, and was only $25. That girl be thrifting. This is definitely one of my favorite bags of the moment...and in perfect time for Fall.

So what have been some of your favorite thrift store finds? Drop me a comment below with the deets folks!

Supreme F/W 2013 Lookbook for the Win.

I love his face. Let's just get that out the way.

Supreme just put out visuals for their Fall/ Winter 2013 collection. It has an apparent retro theme with the bucket hats (told ya they were coming back), corduroy, and shearling. Below are a few of my favorite looks, but there are more pieces in other colors and styles as well.  I definitely give the collection a thumbs up.

There are a ton of sportswear inspired pieces like jerseys (baseball, football, and hockey) and racing jackets. They also feature a Basquiat Cassius Clay drawing on the back of one of their jackets. I tell ya, Basquiat has became relevant in his death these past couple years like no other artist. It seems every hip hop artist has been screaming about their Basquiat this and that and every street wear clothing line has been wanting to incorporate his designs on their tees and sneakers. But I am not mad.

Iggy Azalea Covers NYLON Mexico.

"The New Girl of Hip Hop"
Iggy Azealea covers the newest issue of NYLON Mexico and is a bit more retro and fun than usual. Retro is my middle name, so this type of style, I totally agree with. Not sure why they chose this cover photo though.
I would have preferred any of the other photos, but to each his own.

In the cover shot, she's wearing a Jeremy Scott Bear Print T-Shirt, PAVON NYC Fluor Leggings, and some Neon Trimmed Classic Black Vans.
