Style Post: T.G.I.Spring.

"It’s a new era in fashion - there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end, low-end, classic labels, and up-and-coming designers all together." - Alexander McQueen

Hey! Here's my latest style post: Thank God It's Spring! For this outfit, I'm wearing a mixture of thrift store finds and Forever 21. My hat and shirt are vintage, and my peach pants and "What Ever" loafers are from Forever 21. I'm still loving crop-tops and high-waist paints, so they'll definitely be staples in my wardrobe this season. Take a look below and let me know what you think.

What are you guys up to this weekend? I'm excited to take it slow and enjoy the lovely weather before we possibly get whacked more snow next week. Have a good one! :)

Dope Shoe Alert: Don't Be Jelly!

Jellies were certainly a part of my childhood style. I had a few different pairs, but the clear ones with glitter were always thebomb.com in my eyes. So any time I see jellies being sold, I'm instantly excited.  And with the recent boom of the 90's fashion scene, jellies are almost a requirement.

The important part though? They're only $13 at GoJane.com. Say whaa? Yes, children, $13. #getfamiliar

Melody Ehsani Reebok Pumps.

I've been a fan of Melody Ehsani for a while now, featuring her fabulous jewelry, cool nail wraps, and sneaker collaborations on the blog. This time around, she's back with Reebok to create a supremely cool Reebok Pump design....the first woman to collaborate on the Reebok Pump shoe.

Sneakers on Deck.

tennis shoes

Lord knows we're all entitled to wearing whatever the hell we please, whenever we please, but the fact that sneakers are trending in womenswear is just sugar and spice and everything nice. So I've found 8 cool sneaks that I think you should be aware of. Whether you like sleek, funky, or un poco distracting, you should invest in a nice pair of sneakers to revamp your wardrobe.

Style Post: Chunky Twist Androgyny.

Cardigan: JC Penney / Shirt: Urban Outfitters / Leggings: Forever 21 / Loafers: Go Jane

Happy Friday!

I feel like in our society, people will only allow you to express singular aspects of yourself. If you're a man, "look like a man" and "act like a man." If you deviate from any norms, then you're a weirdo and they don't know what to do with you. But who cares about those guys.

Dope Shoe Alert: Pink Platform Chucks.

Untitled #179

The most adorable Chuck Tay's are on Nasty Gal right at this very moment. These lowtop, all pink beauty's are not only 100% on time and ready to be snatched, but they're platforms, which I am obsessed with right now. Platforms are like the creepers of 2014. People will keep trying to deny their flyness until they basically bop them in the face with a solid "I'm here, bitch." Plus if you grew up in the era of The Spice Girls...you already know.

They're selling out quick, so if you're about that life, click here and cop. :)

Peace

Adorable S/S '14 Del Toro Loafers on Deck.

I recently came across these Del Toro S/S '14 loafers with adorable illustrations. I'm a big fan of loafers bc they're a grown up flat shoe with all the comfort one would desire. They're available for pre-order on Moda Operandi for $340 in about 20 different styles.

Check a few of my favorite styles below...

Cool Kicks: Vans OTW "Camo Leopard" Prelow.

These are the new Vans OTW Prelow in Camo Leopard, which, come on, are pretty adorable if I may say so. They're running shoes that favor the style of Nike Free's, but they're funkier and the lines are cleaner.

This shoe is part of a leopard camo pack that has another Prelow in blue, and Bushwick style in khaki, red, and black. I prefer the Prelow's  though. Anyway, take a peek. They're $90, and your feet with probably be really happy with you and think you're super cool.

Designer Spotlight: Bernhard Willhelm.

Dope right? This shoe is one of many Bernhard Willhelm x Camper Together high top trainers. Since their debut, they've became a staple in his collections, steadily transforming through the years with spots, textures, and bold hue's.

First of all,  let me tell you how my interest in Bernhard even started. I met up with a couple of my homies from STL in DC (shoutout Adrian & Morgan) and while they were in Georgetown, they saw these dope phi dope shoes....to the point where they both felt the need to put me up on game.

So I'm thinking, "Shoes, you say?"......."Dope, you say?"...."Tell me more." Then they pulled up these funky ass zig zag boots that I had never in life seen before...called Bernard's. And with that shoe, came a whole lot more interesting shit.

Style Post: Mondo Poof and Cut-Out Boots.

Hey guys!

It's been a minute since my last OOTD post, but I'm back at it. This is an older Outfit of the Day I did while playing around with some new hairstyles. I'm still transitioning my hair from relaxer's so I've been trying to find styles that work for me right now. I call this the "mondo poof" .....for obvious reasons.

In this OOTD, I'm really loving the shoes! I got these new cut-out booties from GoJane.com. I can never stay away from that site for too long. The top is Forever21 and skirt is from Marshalls.

Don't Call it a Comeback: Timberland Boot Heels.

Do you guys remember the Manolo Blahnik Timberland boot heels that became popular like 9 years ago? I think it was around the same time people were wearing jersey dresses, which has also been revived with the jersey trend. Well I've noticed recently that they are making a come back. Whether you like it or not, it seems the Timberland heels are again relevant.

The Look for Less: Valentino Studded T-Strap Pumps.

Valentino Rock Stud Sling Back Pumps cost about $895. Now if you have $895 for a pair of trendy pumps, go you. But if not, let me offer an alternative via GoJane.com. I knew Go Jane would have some Valentino-esque shoes soon because they keep up with the trends like no other. And here they are folks.

The Go Jane heels are faux nubuck with studded cross straps  You can find them here for only $35. Now that's a steal in red, black, and nude.  They even have a flat version. So if you fancy the Valentino joints, but don't have Valentino money, click the link above and get your entire shoe groove on.

Peace,
Leslie

The Look For Less: Tall Gladiator Sandals.

Have you been looking for cheap tall gladiator sandals? Well you've come to the right place. Super tall gladiator sandals are the perfect head turners for Summer. Gladiator sandals have been popular for years, but they are definitely a hot item right now with Kourtney Kardashian , Rihanna, and Mary Kate Olsen rocking them. And now you can too...without breaking the bank.

These $32.50 sandals are being sold at one of my favorite online stores Go Jane.com. They are a new addition to the site, and will definitely sell out fast. If you're interested, get on it. I got my pair. :) There's a similar pair being sold at the same price, but they're barely in stock now.

Peace.

Melissa x Forever 21.

The return of the Melissa...please tell me you are excited just a little bit. All this means, as you probably already know, is jellies are back. Us 90's kids already know the deal here. I want jellies; and I prefer them to be clear with gold or silver glitter, but these are adorable, nostalgic, and will certainly do.

So Melissa and F21 did a first time collaboration and produced these 5 pairs of sandals. My favorite style has got to be the Geo Mini-Wedge. The red and navy blue just pop. Melissas are super comfortable, with the PVC allowing the shoe to mold and move with your foot (well don't I sound jell-educated.) Just watch out for blisters. You can cop any of the sandals above over at Forever21.com for under $23.

Dope Shoe Alert: Ikaria Metallic Wing Sandals.

Let's take a nice little stroll through Mount Olympus, shall we? So we know that metallic and holographic items are on trend this season, which is great, but would Jeremy Scott have even predicted this take on things?

Made by Ancient Greek Sandals, these Ikaria metallic sandals feature the cutest wing feature that will instantly take these shoes to the next level. These babies are selling these for $230; made with soft silver leather and a neutral sole.
