First of all, let me tell you how my interest in Bernhard even started. I met up with a couple of my homies from STL in DC (shoutout Adrian & Morgan) and while they were in Georgetown, they saw these dope phi dope shoes....to the point where they both felt the need to put me up on game.
So I'm thinking, "Shoes, you say?"......."Dope, you say?"...."Tell me more." Then they pulled up these funky ass zig zag boots that I had never in life seen before...called Bernard's. And with that shoe, came a whole lot more interesting shit.
I soon found out that Bernhard ...is one imaginative ass designer (to say the least.) In '98, he graduated from Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts where he assisted designers like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. He had his first show at Paris Fashion Week just a year later and it's been out of control ever since. I was surprised by his S/S 2013 collection due to its out-of-this-worldy perspective. I truly appreciate him for creating something so visually abruptive and futuristic. The models themselves, the way they're painted and styled...and then the faces is just everything.
And what 2014 fashion collection have you seen modeled by older men and women? Older people that are physically fit as hell wearing nothing but speedos? Get at me, because it's not being done. Except for B-Dubb's S/S 2014 Lookbook of course.
