Why I Went MIA.
You may have noticed my last post was a good 2 months ago. There are a couple of reasons for that. First of all, I was in the final stretch of tedious ass, out of my mind ass wedding planning, which all ended on October 5, when I became Mrs. Ikpe. It was a beautiful day in St. Louis, and we were surrounded by amazing friends and family. Weddings are mad stressful, but it's all worth it in the end. Oh, and I'll be sure to make a wedding post as soon as I get the photographer's pictures.

Style Post: The Corset.
Top, shorts: Vintage / Shoes: TJ Maxx / Necklace: Go Jane |
"Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us." - Wilma RudolphI can't wait for the day where people dare to be who they are, unapologetically. Where we all live lives we can be proud of, regardless of whether they reach a level of fame or not. Forget fame. Strive to make a difference in this world...in your community and within your family. Strive for greatness within yourself.
Peace.

Happy Birthday to Us: TPM Turns 2!
"If there is no struggle, there is no progress." -Frederick Douglass
Two years ago, today, I submitted my first blog post for The Pretty Mustache. Exciting stuff right? :) When I first decided to start this blog, it was so I'd have a place to showcase my passion for fashion and unique personal style. Let me tell you, I've learned a lot over the years about what to do and what not to do while trying to create a successful fashion blog. And because of it, TPM has seen growth that I'm very proud of. I just wanted to say thank you to all of my readers and subscribers for allowing me to share my perspective with you. I appreciate you guys checking in with us week after week.
Cheers,
Leslie Anne
P.S. This is how you celebrate birthday's right?

Style Post: East Coast vs West Coast.
Muscle Tee: Urban Outfitters / Tuxedo Pants: Wet Seal / Shoes: Go Jane |
"I am determined to be cheerful and happy in whatever situation I may find myself. For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition." -Martha Washington
Tuxedo pants and a Tupac/ Biggie muscle tee? Don't mind if I do. The little bit of red in my shirt was just begging for some red shoes to come along and be it's friend. And with it being so easy to mix and match primary colors, why not? The high today is 74. I'm about to go do cartwheels in the park.
Peace.

Style Post: Rainbow Dreams.
Holographic beanie and moto jacket: H&M / Dress and boots: Marshalls |
"Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." -Maya AngelouLast weekend was absolutely beautiful. I would consider it transitional weather, with non-stop sunshine and temperatures in the 60s. And let me just say, I love this dress. It's got the acid washed bustier and sheer colorful skirt with splits. It's so girly and sweet that I thought it would be best paired with a leather jacket, black combat boots, and this swanky beanie from H&M. Just to create a little contrast. More pics below.
Have a great weekend.
Peace.

"I'm really interested in fashion but at the same time I find it quite competitive. Second-hand stuff leaves you more open to whatever your own personal style is rather than feeling dictated to by shops."-Sophie Ellis Bextor
