This is what I'll be wearing to the Schoolboy Q / Isaiah Rashad show tonight in DC. When I think of concert outfits, I think of outfits like this: cool, but comfortable. Here are a few tips I have for getting dressed for a concert with a hip-hop crowd:


1. Wear flats. Just do it. There's nothing worse than the girl in the bathroom with her shoes off.
2. Dress for the occasion. Hip hop shows can be grimy, so don't show up in your absolute best clothes.
3. In the winter, rock a short bodycon dress with a leather jacket. Throw some tights on and call it a night.
4. In the summer, go for crop tops, short shorts, or rompers. Or a cool graphic tee.
5. And most importantly, vibe out.

Style Post: My Sister Moved to Paris and All I Got Were These Lousy Glasses.

Hey my Pretty's. This is the last outfit from my DC trip last week. I've featured the pants on here as a Styled by L-Mo post. So many of my OOTD posts are literally while I'm out and about. I feel like I'm all over the place all the time....never sit still for too long, so we multitask. Multitasking motherfuvker.

Anyway, my sister Jai recently moved to Paris (I'm pronouncing it Pair-eee in my head, to be fancy of course) to be an au pair. Before she moved, she literally had to get rid of 80% of everything she owned, so I got my share of free glasses . These transparent green aviators were a pretty fun addition to my collection. I have a special place in my heart for interesting glasses.

Then we peaced out to the Smithsonian Zoo. (Too bad it's closed now due to the government shutdown.)

Outfit of the Day: DC Love.

I've been having a lot of fun wearing these tennis shoe wedges already this Fall. After the first season I wore them, I had a feeling they may not be in style by the time I would want to wear them again, but apparently, they're still good. We're in the clear. 

I used the wedges in this outfit to make my look more casual.  If I put on a pair of pumps, I would be club ready, but I was just chillin around town, so sneaker wedges seemed optimal.

The graffiti love top is from Rue 21, midi skirt is Forever 21, and the sneaker wedges are from Go Jane.

Trillectro 2013 Fashion Recap.

Trillectro has come and gone and from what I hear, it was pretty awesome. I didn't go this year, since I'm going to Made in America in Philly next week and Rock the Bells next month in DC, but I went last year for their inaugural festival and it was quite dope. I had a ton of fun....Loved the concept and the artists.

This year they hosted Wale, Travi$ Scott, A$AP Ferg and Rocky, Phil Ade, King Chip, Nadastrom...etc.

Style Post: Floor Length Leopard Dress.

I bought this leopard dress a couple months ago and was waiting to wear it until it cooled off a bit.
Perfect night for the occasion. I really liked the dress because I could tell someone made it from scratch. Plus it goes all the way past the ankles AND the zipper lets you have whatever amount of cleavage you're comfortable with.

Bold as hell. I chose red chucks because it's an unexpected choice and it keeps it laid back.Plus I love the way leopard and red looks together.

Trillectro Music Festival 2012.

Hip-Hop: an urban youth culture associated with rap music and the fashions of African-American residents of the inner city.

Electronic: music created using synthesizers and other electronic instruments.

Trillectro: where Hip-Hop and Electronica come to party. Waddup?

The first ever Trillectro Music Festival was in this past weekend in DC, and I'm pleased to say it was a great time. We kicked it. Straight up. Dancing in the rain, un poco green, great music and great friends.

Round of applause to DC to BC for orchestrating this event in less than a month. (Where they do that at?) Trendy hipsters were out in full force. I was surprised that there were so many artists that I wasn't too familiar with, but all of the artists were fantastic.

The line-up included Schoolboy Q, Flosstradamus, Phony PPL, Flatbush Zombies, Tabi Bonney, Oddisee, Casey Veggies, Body Language, Dougie Fresh, and many more.
