Style Post: Peter Pilotto x Target Look 3.

Beanie: Forever 21 / Top: Peter Pilotto x Target /  Jeans: old / Shoes: Go Jane
“So soon as a fashion is Universal, it is out of date.” -Marie Von Ebner-Eschenbach
If you aren't paying attention to what's going on in the fashion world, then you can find yourself completely out of the loop in like 2 months. I'm talking, you're wearing shit that absolutely no one is checking for. Fashion never stands still. It's a constant race to see who can be most cutting edge and fashion forward. And season after season, we get something new to swoon over and talk about. But there are only a few that are willing to be the guinea pigs and go out and sport these new looks. And then the people that were paying attention follow suit. And then it gets to a point where everyone's caught on. And by that time, designers and fashionistas have been on-to-the-next for months. It's weird like that, huh?

Anyway, this is one of my favorite looks that I put together from my Peter Pilotto x Target items. :)

Style Post: Black. White. Red.

Trying to catch up on some posts from when I was in ATL for New Years.

Kept it simple this day with a black and white varsity jacket over a white tee, comfortable distressed jeans ripped at the knee, and Air Jordan Retro IIs that were part of the "Candy Pack" a couple years back. I've never been a Jordan type of girl, but after this pair, I'm on the lookout.

Topped it off with a beaded wood cross necklace and a red beanie. I just love a good beanie.

Get Familiar: Funky Head-Wear.

I feel we're coming into a time where it's going to be all about the head-wear: beanies, baseball caps, furry hats, turbans, leather, etc. I've always been pretty good at spotting trends before they become super trendy. My best bet is, regardless of what your outfit is doing, if you're wearing a dope hat, you may have just saved or enhanced your fashion life.

There's nothing better than a cool, interesting piece of head-wear. Huge hats, tiny hats, embellished hats, embroidered turbans, veils...all them shits. Come hither. You are welcome here.

Jill Sander's Spring 2012 Veil Beanie.

A black beanie with a veil? Oh yal got to be kidding me. (I'm in love)

The hat above is a veil/beanie mash-up from Jill Sander's Spring 2012 runway. (Yea I'm late, but dammit I don't care.) The Stephen Jones designed beanie is filled with all the fabulous glory.

I love the idea of blending the hat and veil together because it gives such an edgy girly vibe. The look is finished with sparkly earrings and hair pulled back in a pretty elegant way. And I like how they kept the make-up simple. Nude lips, black liner, a little pink blush, and mascara. Let the veil do all the talking. I like your style girlfriend.

SSUR F/W 2012.

SSUR, a streetwear brand created by artist Ruslan Karablin, recently dropped their F/W 2012 collection.
This time around "Channel Zero", "Redrum", and "Crooklyn" compile the majority of the graphics.SSUR may seem unfamiliar, but if you're a hip hop fan, you've definitely seen it on A$AP Rocky. Nobody rocked "Comme des Fuckdown" harder than him.
