Home Sweet Surprise Party.

Made it home for 4th of July and a sweet wedding. Saw family and friends and even managed a surprise early birthday shindig for Amanze. Jai was in the building. Stan was in the building. Old friends were in the building...no new friends looking ass.

Please peep the banner that I made (thanks Pinterest for the idea) and my mom's homemade red velvet cake. It makes me giggle a bit because I know how much we struggled with merging two cakes into one massive sweets explosion. But it all worked out with a little creative alteration.

Funny thing about what I'm wearing is, I grabbed the top from my little sister's closet and it's actually a shirt that we both used to own, but I ended up giving mine away. It can look a little young, but with the dark lipstick and black gladiator sandals, it edges it up. Plus it's sheer and that's almost never bad. I like the illusion that I'm wearing a short dress, even though there are shorts underneath. Not giving out any sneak peaks over here.
