My New Favorite Style Site: StyleLikeU.
I find new websites practically everyday that change my life in some way...a constant flow of inspiration and longing to do more and be more. To show the world who I really am. And today thanks to Refinery29's dope ass Month of Style Stars series, I was introduced to Elisa Goodkind and Lily Mangelbaum of StyleLikeU, a fashion site that embraces way more than just fashion. They provide a deeply personal depiction of everyone they interview. Super unique and just interesting to say the least. Definitely check them out.
I just wanted to share a few of their videos that I enjoyed, starting with Olu and Ed. I can totally relate to what they were talking about. That feeling that you know "I'm different." They may not dress like me or think like me or have the same outlook on life and that's fine, because we're just different. And I love meeting other people that express themselves and aren't so scared of what other people think of them. I also love that Olu enjoys offending people with his style. Because personally, there's nothing better for me than to know that I am the only person that looks like me even when people are giving me the side eye. It's all about confidence in yourself and self expression.
The Music x Style piece below of Natalia Kills is so cool. Her style is bold and I could probably stare at her for 20 minutes without getting bored. Oh, and her closet makes mine look like that of a poor person.
And then there's Rog and Bee Walker, one of StyleLikeU's features from their Month of Sexual Healing. The adorable love story of two stylish photographer's committment to one another.
