Can I start an internet Obama chant going right now? Because that man is greatness. His inaugural speech referencing gay marriage, climate change, and the middle class was everything a great speech should be, because it was bold, passionate, and well delivered. Yep folks, things are bound to change in the next 4 years.
I was at the inauguration in DC this year. Lord knows I couldn't miss out on history a second time. Yes, me and at least 800,000 other honorary DC residents flooded the streets with hope in our hearts and Obama on our minds. Even though it was impossible to get around without massive lines or serious traffic, I loved every bit of it. And it happened to fall on MLK Day, which sweetened the deal that much more.
And who stole the show at the Inauguration Ball yet again? Michelle Obama in a gorgeous ball gown designed by Jason Wu.
This is the second inauguration Michelle chose Jason Wu, and it's obvious that he knows what looks great on her. It really was perfect. Great fabric, elegant, classy, but still young, and the proportions were really nice. The ruby chiffon and velvet dress was made custom for the First Lady. She accessorized her look with Jimmy Choo heels and a custom diamond embellished ring by Kimberly McDonald. She recently debuted a new hairstyle with bangs and I think it looks great on her. I like the bangs. I rocked bangs for like 2 years straight in college, and I think she's going to bring people back to the hairstyle.
I paid a very attractive price for my new dress with free shipping, I am 5'6" busty and in typical size 16/18, if it were not for me loosing weight this would have fit me right out of the box. No alterations needed.
ReplyDeleteMy dress came with the poofyish part beneath so I didn't had to buy an extra petticoat. I wasn't sure of my shoes too and asked them to keep it long, and there is plenty of space to work with.
