This is why I have a blog, because when there are things that need to be said, I need to be able to say them. And this needs to be said: GIRLS freaking rules, and more importantly, Lena Dunham rules. Why do you say this you ask? Because hoes be hating.
At the 70th Annual Golden Globes Sunday night, GIRLS won 2 awards: one went to Lena for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy and the other was Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy. She won over Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Zooey Deschanel for the best actress spot, and tell me why my twitter erupted when this happened.
First of all, Twitter is freaking annoying. I am very much tired of people hating for the sake of hating. Everybody seems to be living to see other people struggle. A few dumbos on my twitter had a field day when Lena won the award, saying that she looked dirty, that the show isn't funny, she has an awkward body, blah blah blah. I'm sorry, where's your award? Do you know that girl is a certified beast? Do you know she's 26, writes, produces, stars in, and created the show? Who the hell does THAT? And then she wins and award for all of her hard work and immediately gets hated on. Please. Just because your life is covered in whack sauce does not mean that everything else has to be.
I just don't understand haters, and it's totally frustrating when I see anybody getting hated on. Be mad for a valid reason if you want to be mad. It's not cute, and YOU'RE not cute by doing it. What kind of life are you living when that's fun for you? It's 2013, aka, time to grow the fuck up and get familiar. Being bold over the internet in such an ignorant way only shows people how weak and insecure you are. You have not fooled anyone.
Now that I've got that off my chest, wooo GIRLS!.
